Are you located on the Beach?
The villa has magnificent views of the ocean and islands but it is not on or near the beach. We opted for a quiet panoramic location rather than being part of the holiday bustle. While the nearest tourist beach is a 5 to 10 minute drive, most people prefer to drive an extra 15 minutes and have the luxury of an unspoilt beach. See some of them here
Do the Rooms have a Sea view?
The villa has a lovely view of the ocean panorama which the guests can share from the front of the house, the gardens and from the lounge veranda. The two dedicated single rooms has a view of the pool gardens and the sea. Most rooms do not have a sea view in keeping with local building logic, have the sleeping areas away form the sunny side of the house, to keep them cool. Pictures of the Villa
How far is the nearest beach?
The nearest beaches are a 5-10 minute drive away but even better, drive an extra 15 minutes and have the splendour of an unspoilt beach without any buildings and only a few people
How long have you been open?
We have been accepting visitors to Villa Isis for about five years although there was a period when we conducted our original holidays in rented villas.
Do you have videos and CDs available to play?
There is a good selection of recent and classic DVDs and videos for guests to watch, as well as hundreds of CD titles you can play in the lounge.
Is there a post box near the villa?
The nearest post box is in Tias village but the most accessible is in Puerto del Carmen (5 minutes drive away) or at the airport. Mail can take up to 2 weeks to reach Northern Europe
I see you have a dog and cats. Are they friendly?
We have a rescued mother cat and three grown up kittens all of whom are very fond of our visitors. The pets act a therapists and have been much loved by our guests. Our rescue German Shepherd, Shiva is very loveable and used to meeting lots of people. She has helped several people who had a fear of dogs and lives in hope that the next person out of the gate may take her for a walk. Pets Pictures
Can I take the dog for a walk?
Of course. There is an adjacent track across the local country where she can accompany you on a walk without needing a lead. There are also one beach where dogs are allowed.
I'm allergic to cats. Will this be a problem?
We have had several guests who have mentioned cat allergies but we have never actually observed any problems. So long as you keep your bedroom door closed, you wont have a feline visitor. However if you absolutely cant stand cats, then perhaps give it a miss.
Are there places to be alone in the Villa?
Yes, there is a designated quiet area of the pool, a hammock area, the lounge, and other nooks and crannies where you can be on your own.
Is it OK to smoke in the Villa?
The Villa interior is a no-smoking zone, but guests who wish to smoke can do so outside the villa, so long as they dispose of ash and butts appropriately (not on the garden!) Its also a good opportunity to stop, if you’ve a mind to!
