As a complement to our yoga, we recommend the Surfing School operated by our friend Paul, who has been surfing for 20 years. Paul has experience from the cold north of Scotland and the frozen reaches of Norway down to the warm waters of Hawaii and various other destinations including over 13 years here on our wonderful island of Lanzarote. He knows the conditions here better than anyone else, something that all our students benefit from. Paul was trained by the British Surfing Association and has other extensive qualifications including the Royal Life Saving, Beach Lifeguard, Pool Lifeguard, International Lifesaving Society and Surf Lifeguard. He is the only non-Spanish person to hold the F.E.S.S award. Paul is highly respected on the island, from fellow surfers to the lifesaving community, after running the beach of Playa Grande for the Cruz Roja (red cross) organising training and a new beach protection systems. He has also completed several inter island swims, the Lanzarote Ironman, Las Tres Isla's race and various other triathlon's. His passion for surfing and teaching surfing is second to none and we think he gets more excited watching people stand up for the first time than he gets in his own talented surf sessions. Paul becomes an instant friend to everyone he meets and loves to share his knowledge and experiences with everyone. He has certainly made all our students feel at home, safe and motivated with a kind cheeky manner and a wicked sense of humour. He makes a daily assessment to chose which location is best for your surfing ability and confidence. The emphasis is on providing a safe but fun learning structure for all ages and experience level with a view to educating individuals in all forms of safe practice when participating in any water sports, in so doing giving all clients the up most enjoyment from there experiences with us in small manageable groups and in future endeavours.

His research into the best equipment for safety and progressive learning has put his school at the forefront of surf schools in Europe. He has a 100% success rate from our clients aged from 8 to 63 with all returning home with a photograph of themselves stand up surfing!
