If constant stress has you feeling physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted, you may be suffering from burnout. When you’re burned out, problems seem insurmountable, everything looks bleak, and it’s difficult to muster up the energy to care—let alone do something about your situation.
Our solution to countering burnout is all about taking steps to quieten the mind. We were not designed to live with our awareness constantly in our heads, with mental activity occupying all our conscious time. After all we are called human beings, and there is a fundamental need to achieve a state of being, free form thought activity for some time in each day. We only connect with whatever you choose to acknowledge as the great sustaining source when we are free of thought. In this state, the body is able to organise its own healing process, in conjunction with the breath. The combining of breath and present awareness is one of the greatest secrets to well-being and its contingent benefits of creativity and fulfillment.
